- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 15 oz Tomato Sauce can
- 1 6 oz Tomato Paste can
- 1 12 oz Cottage Cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp Dried basil
- 6 Uncooked lasagna noodles
Brown the ground beef in your Dutch oven, add onions and garlic and cook until transparent.
Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste.
In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and basil.
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of the Dutch oven.
Layer with 3 noodles and half of the cheese mixture.
Repeat layers and top with remaining meat sauce.
Cover and bake over campfire coals for 45 minutes or until noodles are tender.
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and let stand until cheese is melted.
