Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 15 oz Tomato Sauce can
  • 1 6 oz Tomato Paste can
  • 1 12 oz Cottage Cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp Dried basil
  • 6 Uncooked lasagna noodles

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef in your Dutch oven, add onions and garlic and cook until transparent.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and basil.
  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of the Dutch oven.
  • Layer with 3 noodles and half of the cheese mixture.
  • Repeat layers and top with remaining meat sauce.
  • Cover and bake over campfire coals for 45 minutes or until noodles are tender.
  • Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and let stand until cheese is melted.
