Dutch Oven Lasagna

- 1 Dutch Oven
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 15 oz Tomato Sauce can
- 1 6 oz Tomato Paste can
- 1 12 oz Cottage Cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp Dried basil
- 6 Uncooked lasagna noodles
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in your Dutch oven, add onions and garlic and cook until transparent.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste.
- In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and basil.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of the Dutch oven.
- Layer with 3 noodles and half of the cheese mixture.
- Repeat layers and top with remaining meat sauce.
- Cover and bake over campfire coals for 45 minutes or until noodles are tender.
- Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and let stand until cheese is melted.
