Camp Nachos Recipe – Dutch Oven Style

Ingredients
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 alapeno, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat your dutch oven over a medium campfire or camping stove.
- Start with a layer of tortilla chips at the bottom of the dutch oven. On top of the chips, evenly distribute a layer of cheese, beans, tomato, jalapeno, onion, and olives. Repeat this process, layering chips and toppings until the dutch oven is filled.
- Cover the dutch oven and let it sit over the fire for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.Carefully remove the dutch oven from the fire (it will be hot!).Top the nachos with salsa, sour cream, and chopped cilantro before serving.Enj oy your delicious camp nachos right from the dutch oven!
Notes
For easy cleanup add 2 sheets of parchment paper to cover the bottom of the dutch oven.
