Where great food and nature meet

The Complete 4-Day Music Festival Menu (With Camp Stove & Cooler)

April 11, 2026 by Camp Food Team

Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner for four days of camping — planned so you eat great, waste nothing, and spend as little time cooking as possible.

This menu is designed for a group of 2–4 people camping with a two-burner stove and a single large cooler. It’s built around a few key principles: ingredients that pull double-duty across multiple meals, proteins that start fresh and get used up before they can turn, and quick-cook meals for mornings when you’re bleary-eyed and the music starts at noon.

Each day has a rough time investment listed. Most meals are 15–25 minutes of actual cooking. The one exception is Day 1 dinner, which you mostly made at home.

At-a-Glance: The Full Menu

DAY 1 — ARRIVAL DAY

  • Breakfast: Grab something on the road
  • Lunch: PB&J, chips, fruit — no-cook, car snacks
  • Dinner: Make-ahead chili with cornbread (pre-made at home, reheated at camp)
  • Snacks: Trail mix, jerky, string cheese

DAY 2 — SETTLING IN

  • Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with peppers and sausage, camp coffee
  • Lunch: Loaded quesadillas with leftover chili
  • Dinner: Skillet steak fajitas with peppers, onions, and tortillas
  • Snacks: Hummus and pita chips, fresh fruit

DAY 3 — PEAK FESTIVAL

  • Breakfast: Banana pancakes (2-ingredient, 10 minutes)
  • Lunch: Deli wraps — turkey, cheese, mustard, crackers
  • Dinner: One-pot pasta with sausage and canned tomatoes
  • Snacks: Granola bars, nut butter packets, whatever’s left

DAY 4 — PACK-OUT DAY

  • Breakfast: Campsite breakfast burritos — eggs, leftover sausage, cheese, salsa
  • Lunch: Road food — sandwiches packed before you break down camp
  • Dinner: You’re home. Order a pizza. You earned it.

The Shopping List

This is your complete master shopping list for all four days. Shop this 2 days before the festival; pick up ice and fresh bread on the way out.

Proteins & Dairy

  • 1 lb ground beef (for chili — prep this at home)
  • 8 oz breakfast sausage links or patties
  • 1–1.5 lb skirt or flank steak
  • 12 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or Italian), sliced
  • Deli turkey, 6–8 oz
  • 12 eggs
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, 8 oz bag
  • Sliced provolone or Swiss for wraps
  • Sour cream, small container
  • Butter, 1 stick

Produce

  • 2 bell peppers (red and green)
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 3–4 cloves garlic
  • 1 lime
  • 2 bananas (Day 3 breakfast)
  • Apples or oranges — whatever travels well
  • Cherry tomatoes for snacking

Pantry & Shelf-Stable

  • 2 cans kidney or black beans
  • 1 can crushed or diced tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can small-diced tomatoes for pasta
  • 1 box cornbread mix (Jiffy)
  • 8 oz dry pasta (penne or rotini)
  • Flour tortillas, large — at least 8
  • Pita chips and hummus (single-serve packs are great)
  • Bread for sandwiches
  • PB&J, chips for Day 1
  • Trail mix and jerky
  • Granola bars and nut butter packets
  • Salsa, one jar
  • Hot sauce
  • Olive oil, small bottle
  • Soy sauce or Worcestershire (for steak marinade)

Beverages & Coffee

  • Ground coffee or pods for French press/percolator
  • Creamer or powdered milk
  • Water — at least 1 gallon per person per day
  • Drinks of choice for the separate drink cooler

The Cooler Packing Order

Pack in this order for maximum efficiency and food safety:

  1. Block ice — on the very bottom
  2. Raw steak in sealed zip-lock — directly on ice
  3. Eggs in a hard container, butter, sour cream
  4. Sausage links and sliced kielbasa
  5. Cheese bags, deli turkey
  6. Pre-chopped vegetables in labeled bags
  7. Salsa, hot sauce, condiments
  8. Bag ice on top to fill gaps

PRO TIP: Label every zip-lock with a marker: what’s in it AND what day it’s for. When you’re at the festival and bleary-eyed at 7am, you’ll thank yourself.

Next up in the series: Day 1 and Day 2 in full detail with complete recipes. See you at the fire.
